I've been slowly getting back into "art" as a medium of communication, but I'm finding it more difficult than ever to be pleased w/ my work. I may be my own worst critic, but I'm also really sure that a lot of it is total waste. I have also found that writing some stories, or drawing some drawings, will pull me into different mind sets - dark moody and world out to get me EMO or reflective passivist, or happy fuzzy go lucky opptomist. Viewing these kinds of work are almost equally mood altering. I don't remember this happening before, any thoughts? I haven't been on DA in a long time, and a lot has changed. I know, I know. Forever huh? I feel like I slept for a few years, and now sleeping is boring and depressing. Things have changed and yet I stayed the same, stagnant, as good as dead. Its been long time for me to wake up, and hopefully stay awake and active. I'm in the process of writing a novel, trying to do some art (drawing photography painting, it doesn't matter much), working on the house, studying for the GRE and WEST-B (to be followed by the WEST-E sub cats sci and math), and applying to grad school. its been...trying...and fun. I finished my research, and my thesis. i recieved a mary gates scholarship for research and a department award for best thesis 2006. its surreal...
